Nikola Jokić Scores Career-High 56 Points in Loss to Struggling Wizards In a thrillin I g yet disappointing game, Nikola Jokić of the Denver Nuggets put up an extraordinary performance, scoring a career-high 56 points. Unfortunately for Jokić and his team, his amazing effort wasn’t enough to secure a win as the Nuggets lost to the Washington Wizards, a team that has been struggling this season. The final score was 141-128 in favor of the Wizards. Jokić’s 56 points came on 22-of-25 shooting, which is an incredible shooting percentage of 88%. He was almost perfect from the floor, only missing three shots in the entire game. In addition to his points, Jokić also contributed 12 rebounds and 4 assists, showcasing his all-around skills. His performance was a reminder of why he is considered one of the best players in the NBA today. Despite Jokić’s individual brilliance, the Nuggets couldn’t overcome the Wizards’ strong team play. Catchings, a 7-time All-WNBA First Team recipient, set the bar high, and Clark has now matched her impressive feat.
HEEEE.                                                                                                                                            But that's not all - Clark has been on a roll! She was also crowned the WNBA Rookie of the Year on October 3rd and the Associated Press Rookie of the Year on September 22nd. This talented rookie has made a significant impact, becoming the first newcomer since Candace Parker in 2008 to be selected to the All-WNBA First Team. Clark joins an elite group of rookies who have achieved this honor since 2000, including Sue Bird (2002), Catchings (2002), and Diana Taurasi (2004).

Clark's impressive skills on the court have earned her a spot alongside other talented players on the All-WNBA First Team, including Napheesa Collier, A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, and Alyssa Thomas. These athletes were chosen based on their outstanding performances throughout the regular season, without regard to their positions on the court.

As a testament to their hard work and dedication, each member of the All-WNBA First Team will receive a well-deserved $10,300, while the Second Team members will receive $5,150. The voting breakdown for the 2024 All-WNBA Team is as follows:
